

She was born in Kiaping (Hoiping), a small village in the southwestern Province of Guangdong, China. Her parents were Jimmy Kwai & Joe Wah Wong, and she moved to the United States in the late 1950s. In 1959, Mary married Frank Wong, and they had three children.
Mary is survived by a loving family including her son Harry (MD) and his wife Linda, and their children Lian, Cailin, Harrison (deceased 2004), and Halle; son Larry & his wife Mindy, and their children Will (Avery) and Lily (Alana); son Jerry (DDS) and his wife Irene, and their children Brandon and Mia.
Mary’s memory will also be cherished by her many nieces & nephews and their spouses, and her siblings including her elder sister Tung Yeung & spouse Wing Fung Chow (deceased 2021); younger sister Jean & spouse Arnold Quan Fong (veteran PFC deceased 2010); brother Willie (veteran PFC deceased 1995) & spouse Helen Wong; and youngest brother, Jimmy & spouse Teresa Wong.
Mary retired over 25 years ago, and she enjoyed spending time at her local senior community center and attending services at the Catholic church. Everyone who knew Mary was touched by her warm personality and boundless energy. She was always happy, always smiling, and she loved to dance and be with people. Mary was especially proud whenever she talked with friends and loved ones about her children and grandchildren and all of their accomplishments.
