Matilde was married to Francisco Meza, Jr. on January 22, 1950. Later having five children. Two sons, Francisco III and Ignacio (Nick) Meza and three daughters, Dolores M. Henry, Melva M. Guerrero and Jessica Meza.
Matilde is survived by her husband, Francisco Meza, Jr. of 72 years. Son, Francisco Meza III (wife, Alicia Meza) and granddaughters, Leticia Ruvalcaba, Lilia Sanchez, Stephanie Meza and grandson, Francisco Meza IV. Son, Ignacio (Nick) Meza and grandson, Nicholas A. Meza and granddaughters, Nicole D. and Laurie M. Meza. Daughter, Dolores M. Henry (husband, Larry J. Henry) and granddaughter, Allison P. Henry. Daughter, Melva M. Guerrero (husband, Frank G. Guerrero) and grandsons, David S. Barajas and Frank G. Guerrero II. Daughter, Jessica Meza and grandson, Jordan A. Meza and her sister, Alice M. Jessee.
She is also survived by 17 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents Celso and Maria Luera Casares. Brothers Celso, Edward and Robert Casares.
