Today, Friday, February 2, 2024, Uncle M.C. I recall several times in our phone visit, You always answered the call by saying, ‘Who is this?’ I would answer ‘Freda Uncle M.C.’ then you would ask, ‘Are you still in California?’ I would say yes. You would then tell me about the time you lived in California, where and for how long. From there the conversation would go to your Military time, your visit to France, I always asked you to say something in French. Those are remembers I will never ever forget, our telephone visits were thought provoking.

I recall Uncle M. C. Clark staying at my home 2-nights on a visit to 
Los Angeles.  CA, it was cold, Uncle M. C. in bed, very uncomfortable, I asked if He wanted a blanket, He said ‘Yes, of course, didn’t know you had one’! I thought that was so funny. Uncle was very humorous; always enjoyed our telephone conversations, they were a walk back down memory lane. Only Brother left  to stand tall, 5 Transitioned ahead of Him.

He was the most quiet person I can remember meeting. i am pretty sure he was my mother’s favorite brother. I cannot say a single negative thing about him! His independence to me was a test ament of how much he loved his wife, my Aunt Versaelee! I understand he had a tremendous since of humor! If there is one thing about him that I would say: I wish I could  have got to know him better! His nephew, Joseph L. Robinson

My dearest uncle MC, everyone knows he was my favorite uncle! He was the last living uncle I had on this earth. I called him my dad's twin because they were so much alike. They looked alike, they served in the US Army together and they both spoke French.  I looked at uncle MC as my surrogate father after my dad passed. He was such a gentle, kind, cool and loving person. On January 25, I was blessed to be able to talk with my uncle on his 102nd birthday.  He had many stories to share as we laughed and reminisced on precious memories. He talked about his time in the army, his many travels around the world and his family. His journey on earth was long and full of life! I would describe him in three words: happy. handsome and healthy! I'm forever grateful for his life and love. My continued prayers for his children and all my Clark family. He will be missed by many and never forgotten. I will cherish his memory and he will always have a place in my heart. I am MC Clark’s sister, the next child born after him, growing up MC was very soft spoken and rarely got angry with anyone. His character and personality always remained unchanged. To Lois, Sheila, Faye and Bruce I realize you are hurting, but look to the Hills from whence comes your strength, comfort and peace ,which the Lord gives to all his children. I am praying for each of you, we loved him, but God loved him more and decided to give him his rest. Pray for me and I will continue to pray for you all.

I cannot remember a time in my life when Uncle MC didn't pretend to not know me. It's a testament to us all of the immortality of small, personal, consistent jesters of love and their ability to make a huge impact on a little life. "I'm Ren."

Our deepest condolences and prayers to the entire family and friends. I have so many great memories of my Uncle M.C. who was married to my mom’s sister (Aunt Versie). He was a sweet, kind hearted person who could make you laugh at Lil things he would say, and he was full of wisdom. A true man of God!  To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord!
