

Melba Louise Kelton Younce, 92 of Pearland, TX also known as Mama, Memaw, Grandma, Melba K. and Melba Louise Francis Ann “money stream line Younce” went to be with the Lord on April 15, 2016. Born on March 17, 1924 (St. Patrick’s Day) in Pecos, TX. She married the love of her life, Joseph Edgerton Younce on June 10, 1943 in Pecos, TX. She attended Pecos High School in Pecos, TX where she was a drum majorette. Melba was a beloved Homemaker that could do anything and everything her kids, friends, and family asked of her. After the death of her spouse in 1969, she then traded the Apron in to tackle the world of Retail Sales to which she thrived. She then retired from Retail in 1998 to go back to the Homemaking duties. She decided to retire the Apron one last time to say hello to all those wonderful Walmart shoppers as they walked in. I guess you could say she greeted those fellow shoppers as they walked into Retail Jungle, and by Jungle we mean Walmart not Honduras. Widow to a Veteran she lived an active life in Pecos, TX , Houston, TX , Washington, North Carolina, and many Places in Honduras Central America where hobbies and interests were Card Games, Puzzles, Church, Daughter of a Milner, Sewing, Knitting, and Painting. Melba is survived by: Children: Robert (Bobby) Edward Younce and wife Nora of Houston, TX, Frank Kelton Younce of Pearland, TX, and Jane Ann McLain (Younce) and husband Stephen McLain of Pearland, TX Grandchildren: Jodi Anne Powers of Paducah, KY, Joe Rodney Younce Jr. and Markus Joseph James Younce of Germany, Franklin Joseph Samuel Younce of Owasso, OK, Sydney Younce and Kelly Younce of Houston, TX, and Kelton James McLain of Pearland, TX Great-grandchildren: Dallas Hayden Crass, Kylen Clifton Powers, Zoie Anne Powers, Braxton Michael Kelton Younce, Grayson Scott Kelton Younce Great Great-grandchildren: Joseph Hayden Lee Crass Predeceased by: Spouse: Joseph Edgerton Younce Parents: Robert F Kelton and Jane Alice Farnum Children: Joe Rodney Younce Siblings: Joe Bob Kelton & Jim Tom Kelton Services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Forrest Park Lawndale – Chapel of the Angels Visitation 12:00 – 2:00 PM at Forrest Park Lawndale - Chapel of the Angels Reception to follow at Jane Ann McLain’s House in Friendswood, TX . She will be laid to rest on Tuesday April 26, 2016 Oakdale Cemetery Washington, NC. Flowers are welcome. The family has requested donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital
