So sorry to learn of Mike's death from the Conoco publication Monitor.
I worked with Mike for several years at Conoco and collaborated in the development of engineering software.
I found him to a friendly co-worker who maintained optimism as the oil business swooned in the early 80's
Looking at the wonderful pictures in Guest Book makes me regret I lost touch with a good man.

Miguel was the most gracious host I ever met!  Always the gentleman, he always offered something to drink or eat when I stopped by for a visit. He was a great friend for 40+ years and I already miss his gentle smile and his laughter.  We went to see a comedian in Vegas one time and Mike laughed through the whole performance.  I cannot remember ever being mad at Mike in all of our travels together...He was an amazing guy and one of the best friends I ever had.  He will be missed by all who knew him.
Goodbye dear friend...If make it to Heaven, you will be one of the first people I look us!

I am grateful for the opportunity to work with Mike.  My sympathies to all his family.

Thank you for allowing me to describe the very person in you that I've known  for the past 4 years of working together & partnering wonderfully in caring for your well loved brother Simon. Everyone thought that you're a very strict person as it showed from your outward appearance especially if you are just staring & that no words are being said. But, for those who you've worked with eventually realized that your attribute from within is different from what is seen outside. Inwardly, you are a gentle hearted person, caring , thoughtful, kind, humorous & sweet. Mike, I'm saying it again as you precisely heard me say these things oftentimes. You knew how I can't just keep silent & hide my admiration of how grateful I am to you for just being you. 

You amazes everyone with the tremendous love & care you had for your brother & you definitely inspired as all in such awe. No matter how much we tried to stop you from doing things that we knew would be a little difficult for you ; still ,you persistently insist - such an act of love that we dearly admired. Thank you so much for believing in us. For always saying " YES" in every request & favor we asked you. I can't remember a time you ever refused. You are always making yourself available to be there when we needed you. How you consider things for our sake is very humbling; such an honor to have. You've shown so much respect & care to all of us. You became a beloved family to us by showing your transparency in every situation & conversations we have had. Thank you for sharing us your smile , laughters , teases , counsel, jokes & hugs. We will surely miss you in such a way beyond I can ever express, as upcoming special holidays are getting  imminent.

It's a joy to see you do your daily walk,  so much fun to join you in watching game shows , I owe you a lot for lending me your listening ears & given advices, and your amazing helpfulness attitude towards us.
There's so much to remember...To be thankful... To cherish & treasure...To surely be love & miss about you. Oh how I thank Jesus, Our Lord & Savior for having you in our life . Truly a gift & a blessing from God!

Mike was a kind soul who will be missed by his many friends.Always smiling.

Mike and I were in the St. Michael's 30+ singles group for several years. It was a fun and active social gathering for singles who preferred a "non-swinging" environment. While there were many wonderful members in the group, Mike was known for his courtesy and great sense of humor. Very well liked, we were always happy to see him at any of the gatherings.  I liked him a lot and remember that he made many good times better just by being there.  I had not seen him in several years and am very sad to hear of his illness and passing.

     Mike and I were roommates way back in the 60s when we were young.  In those days Mike was a fun loving guy who, because of his dancing prowess and gregarious personality, enjoyed great popularity with the ladies.  He was a good athlete, played soccer in college and shined in our club basketball and volleyball games.

     Mike was a great guy and a great friend.  If he had any fault, it was his stubborn inability to accept a gift or favor.  While always ready to help others, he maintained a firm resolve not to impose on others with his needs.

     So long, Mike.  I'll miss the hell out of you.

Miguel's passing was a shock to me as I was sure that his health problem was addressed.  Miguel was the nicest and most forthright person I knew in about forty years of being his brother--in-law.  We had many pleasant meetings along the way in Manila, thereafter in Houston and Gulf Breeze. The world and his family lost a real good person.  My condolences to all.
