I was honored to be a part of your life and your family. You were a blessing to all who truly got to know you and I am glad that I was more than a co-worker. Iz and I will continue to be here for your family just the way you have always been here for so many others, thank you for blessing all of us. It was an honor to be with you until the end and we will see you again in the presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

My heart is saddened by the loss of Mike Rodriguez. We worked together for many years at the City of Arcola. You were truly a wonderful friend and I am going to miss you dearly. I WAS DEEPLY SADDENED WHEN I HEAR OF THE LOSS OF OFFICER MIKE RODRIGUEZ JR.  I ENJOYED WORKING WITH MIKE IN PARK POLICE.  YOUR FATHER HAD SUCH AN AMAZING PERSONALITY, HE WAS VERY KIND MAN.
MAY GOD COMFORT YOU WITH HIS PEACE AND STRENGTH.  HE WILL SHOW YOU THE WAY TO SMILING AGAIN.  JUST REMEMBER ALL THE GOOD TIMES YOU HAVE SHARED WITH YOUR FATHER AND ALL THE LOVE HE GAVE YOU ALL.

As one of his supervisors, it was my honor and privilege  to work with Mike while he was assigned to the Special Operations Division at HPD.  Mike always took care of his assignments in a positive and efficient manner.
He was an outstanding officer, but more important a great friend.

We are going to miss you so much that words can't explain it. It hurts not having you here but I know you are in a better place and you are also with loved ones, probably BBQ too. My kids will sure miss their grandpa, they love you so much. I Just wanted you to know you made such a difference in this world, you touch so many lives with your kindness and your smile. We love you and will miss you so much. And we will look after my mom for you and also look after one another as well. RIP

I never believed I'd love and care for another man like I did for my father... until I met you.  It's really hard for me, when I go to the house, and you're not there under the carport sitting in your chair or inside relaxing and watching your baseball games or ready for me to take you where ever you wanted to go.  We can never make sense of God's work but I do know for sure that He called you home to serve Him for a better purpose and as much as it hurts not to see you in the physical  I know you, my spiritual brother, are in a better place... until we're together again in eternal life... I love you and will never forget you Pops!

You were an awesome husband to my mom,  a great dad to us & a loving Grandpa to all your grandkids.  We love you & we'll miss you! You will always be in our hearts & know we will see you again!

God has called you home where you never have to worry about ever being sick. Again, don't worry about Mom...we have that covered. We miss you so much everyday. We will meet again. We love you. The Mottu Family

I will miss your bbq at the family get togethers, our weekly phone calls on Sundays, your HPD "war stories", and us riding two man unit together. Most of all I will just miss you. I love you and I was honored that you adopted me and called me your grandson and would introduce me as that. I will see you again and I am glad that you were able to remain an Officer until the end.

Mike Rodriguez was a good officer and always willing to help anyone.  He loved his work.

I can hear you telling me not to cry as you did when I was a little girl. I will miss hearing your voice when you called me. I will miss calling you 50 times before you answer your cell phone because you didn't hear it. I will miss your birthday brunches and picking out colognes for you.
