

Deacon Timothy Charles Jackson Jr. was born in Oil City, Louisiana on July 6, 1935. He was the second of five children born to Ollie Mae and Timothy Charles Jackson Sr. He graduated from Henderson High School in New Iberia, Louisiana. Four years later he was drafted into the U.S. Armed Forces on April 8, 1958, where he was decorated with the Good Conduct Medal Expert Badge, 1st Class Gunner and Marksman Badge. Upon relocating to Houston, his first daughter, Adrienne Woods was born in 1953. 3 years later, Cynthia Chanette was born in 1956. His son, Randy Jackson was born in 1957. In 1958, after years of diligent courtship he married his loving wife of 57 years, Leneva Jackson. They gave birth to their son, Timothy Charles Jackson III, shortly after. They had their last child, Bridgette Nanette Jackson in 1965. He was a dedicated and hard worker. He retired from Uncle Ben’s after 28 years. As a loving husband, father, grand-father, brother, uncle, cousin and friend, he always brought a smile to everyone he came in contact with. His warm smile brightened up any room he entered and his kindhearted spirit was contagious. He emulated an inner strength and source of comfort to both his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ollie Mae and Timothy Charles Jackson Sr., his sister Patricia Ann Miller, his brother Arthur B. Jackson, son Timothy Charles Jackson III and daughter Bridgette Nanette Jackson. His loving memories will always remain with his loving wife of 57 years, Leneva Jackson; his daughters, Adrienne Woods and Cynthia Charette; his son, Randy Jackson; his sisters, Gwendolyn Moore and Sybil McCray; grand children, Crishell Compton, Marcia Elo, Brandie Jackson, Bridgette Nelson, Brielle Jackson, Joseph Jackson; great-grand children, Caleb Compton, Cydney Compton, Kamdyn Jackson, Levi Jackson and Brayden Nelson; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends
