Nellie L Guerra

Nellie was a devout Catholic, and found peace in listening to Catholic Mass every Sunday morning. She was the epitome of Love and Grace. She loved animals, and there was always a dog or cat around the house. She retired from Baylor College of Medicine as an accountant. She gave to many Charities, St, Jude’s Research Hospital for Children was her favorite. She touched the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed by many, but her thumbprint and the Legacy of her life will remain perpetual in our hearts.

She is preceded in death by the father of her children Daniel L Castro, her eldest Son Daniel Castro III, her daughter Susan Acuna, and her son Richard Castro. She is survived by her husband Ernesto Guerra, her daughter Martha Diaz, her son David Castro, and her son James Castro. She had six Children, sixteen Grandchildren, twenty eight Great children, and eight Great-Great Grandchildren.

A visitation for Nellie will be held Tuesday, November 28, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023. A rosary will occur Tuesday, November 28, 2023 from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, November 29, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023. A graveside will occur Wednesday, November 29, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023.
