Nick was raised in Houston attending St. Mark Lutheran Elementary School, Landrum Middle School and graduated from Memorial High School. He attended Texas Tech University. He was an active member of the Houston Boychoir. As part of the Boychoir, he got to travel to Taiwan to sing. He was also a member of his high school madrigal choir and participated in musical theater. He grew up belonging to Holy Spirit Episcopal Church and youth group. The youth group carried some of his fondest memories and was a contributing factor for his never-ending love of people and compassion. With his family, he was a member of the Society for Creative Anachronism, which is a Medieval recreation group. For many seasons you could find him twirling Crystal Stix at the Texas Renaissance Festival. After school he jumped straight into sales. Nick was one of the best salesmen, many saying “he could sell ice to Eskimos!” He found his niche in Insurance, helping people. His children were his whole world. After getting them full time 9 years ago, he enjoyed baseball practice and games with his sons. He was the “dad” at Girl Scout adventures with his daughter. He married the love of his life in 2023 and added another 3 daughters to the mix.
Nick is survived by his wife, Carrie, sons Christian and Douglas, daughter Brielle, stepdaughters Emma Jane, Madeline, and Isabel. Parents Bill and Susan, brother Patrick and wife Leslie, mother-in-law, Sue Beck, sister-in-law Liz and husband Shane, father-in-law James, Aunt JoAnn and Uncle Bob, cousin Ben and wife Michelle, cousins Tracy and Christopher.
