Momma,,, it's almost been 4 years now. Emily is 5 1/2 and life is good. I still miss you like crazy.. A Momma is one that we hold very near to our soul, someone that we turn to in the time of need, someone we get our most valuable advice from.  I wish just for one day I could have you here to talk to, to help me to know that everything would be good and help me to know that the decisions that I am making right now will better mine and Emily's lives. I know in my heart that you are watching over us and you are helping to keep us safe and happy. I love you Momma with all of my heart and miss you dearly! I hope you are having fun up there with Aunt Jan, Mamma, Uncle Larry, Chris, Hazel and Grandpaw. I love you dearly Momma! 

Momma, it's almost been a year and I still miss you like crazy. I wish you were here to talk to and see Emily grow like a weed. You were the stone that held everything together. I feel like a lot of happiness went away when you passed on. I know things will get better and all of our memories will live on, but this sure is the hardest thing that I've ever had to deal with. Norma, I put your Dad's name in Google to find name of cemetery where he was buried and this popped up.  Sorry we never got together during all these years.  I would have loved to know your family.   Your vousin. Sherry

Mamma...I am going to miss you every waking hour and will never forget your compassion for everyone no matter who they were. I'll never forget you getting masquera in your eyes while you and Aunt Jan were laughing while driving all the kiddos back from Galveston. (the small stuff.. ) Talking in Pig Latin when we were too young to know what you were saying..or so you thought :)  I'll never forget your words that made my every day feel full, made me feel safe and to see life in the brightest way possible. You sure were a shining star to all. I know when I see the sun Rise and set over the lake that you, Aunt Jan ,Uncle Larry  and Mam Maw will be looking down at me smiling and driving around in that big bright blue above. I miss you tons Mamma and will keep you in my heart and continue in your legacy of trying to make the world a better place...one person at a time.

Momma, 

Although this had been the toughest 2 weeks of my entire life, I know that you are in a very special place with the rest of the original Cason family whom you missed so dearly. 

I didn't get the chance while you were still here on earth to thank you enough for the very special 40 years that you protected, loved, cared for, and was the best mother to us that anyone could ever imagine. I am so glad that you got to meet our little Emily and share the love that you had with her as you did with us. Emily loved you dearly. I will always talk about you and let her know what a good Mamaw you were to her. I know she misses you, she sleeps with your moo-moo every night.

I am going to miss you Momma, so much, it's very hard to know that I won't be able to hug or give you a kiss anymore.. I will miss your cooking and your advice which I wish I would have taken more often. I hope you hear me when I tell you I love you. 

Know that I am very thankful that you raised us all 3 to be thoughtful and courteous to others, because that is a trait that a lot of people are lacking these days. You and Daddy instilled so many positive ways into our lives.

 Norma,these have been 46 wonderful years that we have shared together. I know how you missed your sister Jan and would go for a drive like you two use to. I know that you have joined Ma Maw and Jan in heaven.
 Thanks for three wonderful kids and all the good times that we shared together.
 You will  be in my heart and on my mind from now on till we meet again in heaven and the love for you will always be greater than before you passed on to be with Jan.
 I thank God for letting you share 46 years with me.

I will miss my dear friend very much.  Norma was a joy to be with. We had many good times together.

Norma was a friend and neighbor for over twenty-two years. She will be remembered as a very loving and generous person who enjoyed hosting large family gatherings. My last conversation with Norma, just days before her passing, she shared her joy in seeing family over the weekend. My prayers are with the Baucum family for their loss.

My sincere condolences to the bereaved family of Ms. Baucum. May you be comforted by reflecting on the many wonderful memories that you can cherish forever.

Aunt Norma was such a wonderful woman.  She always extended her heart and her home to everyone.  Above all she loved and cherished her family.  She will be dearly missed.

"Aunt Norma" as I knew her, always had a smile and a hug for me every time I saw her.
She loved her family and I was bless by being close enough to be consider as such.
She had a quick wit,  loved to tell story's and a heart of gold. You will be missed.
  One of the  measure of one's life, is always left on the ones they touched in their lives.
If you look at just that and look at the family she measures off the charts.

Norma and Jan were more like sisters to me than "cousins-in-law".  I adored both of them and we shared many laughs and good talks. Norma and I were planning a trip together to visit relatives in east Texas. My heart hurts from losing her. I'm still not over Jan leaving us. I pray for Doug and her children. I will miss her so much.

Aunt Norma, I hope you're aware of how much you mean to me and everyone in our family.  There is not a memory I can look back on from my childhood that didn't either involve you or was there because of you.  You are an honest and caring daughter, mother, grandmother, wife, aunt and friend and you'll be sorely missed by all of us as the beautiful individual you were.  I know you're in a better place and united with "Yannie" and all of the other loved ones who previously moved past this world.  You're one of a kind and I love you very much and can't wait to see you some day in the next chapter.  Please also know that Uncle Doug is in good hands.

I like to believe that when we lose someone close to us, they still live on through us and give us the strength and guidance we still need from time to time. The time we have spent with those we've lost makes them part of us.

Aunt Norma was one of the kindest, most joyful hearts I have ever known. In some ways, she was like a second mom to both Brett and I. It always seemed like we were with the Baucum clan, headed somewhere, doing something. I will cherish those memories forever!

The world has lost a great person but I'm a far better person for having had her in my life throughout the years. Although I miss her dearly, it eases my mind knowing that her and my mom are up there, going on a "toot". 

The street lights have come on and Mamaw and Papaw have all their children home again. They can all rest easy now knowing that we will carry on the family name(s) with dignity and respect; just like they taught us. 

Aunt Norma, I will miss your infectious laughter. I will miss your sharp wit. I will miss hearing the stories from our youth. What I wont miss much is that "Big Penny" you wielded with such ferocity..hehe! You are gone but you will never be forgotten. I love you dearly. Tell my mom I said "hi"!

Aunt Norma, along with Aunt Jan and Mammaw, were three of the best ladies I've ever known. I feel privileged to have known them and lucky to have been able to call them family. They were mothers to all of us kids when we were in our crazy years of childhood, and were difficult to tame. Out of those times have come some pretty funny, and heart-warming stories we all know well.

Aunt Norma's selflessness at helping to raise the Carson's and Swinden's will never be forgotten. She's helped shape all of our lives in significant ways and we are all better people for having known her.

Her legacy lives on through us all, but especially through her beautiful children and  grandchildren, who will keep her legacy alive for ages to come.

I love and appreciate the woman she was, and although she will be sorely missed by us all, I know she wanted nothing more than to tool around in heaven with Aunt Jan and Mammaw.

We love you, Aunt Norma, and you will live on in our hearts and minds. Rest in peace.

I was blessed to know Norma and Doug. Many times I enjoyed the get together at her home and with her family. Our kids grew up together and she was a very special woman. I along with many others will miss her very much. I am keeping her family in my prayers. I know she is with our  Lord and  we will see her again one day. Rest in peace my friend.

Norma was one heck of a classy lady who I feel privileged of having known for so many years.  I viewed her and Doug like an aunt and uncle as well since her children and nephews are my good friends who all made feel like I was part of their close-knit family during my formative years (and loved Norma's famous nacho party get-togethers).  She'll certainly be missed greatly and remembered fondly along with her late siblings & mother Jan, Larry and Mamaw.

Godspeed, Norma....and may you find much peace and happiness in Heaven.
