

Norma was born in Houston, Texas on August 23, 1944, to Leo Herman Ficklin Sr. and Winnie Marie Ficklin as their first of four children. She grew up in Golden Acres, Pasadena, Texas and attended St Pius V. Catholic School during elementary and mid school, graduating from South Houston High School in 1963.
She began working at JettyCo, a petrochemical valve company and later joined Howard after he started Houston Valve & Fitting in 1971 where she remained until retirement in 2020.
Norma is survived by sisters Patty Ficklin and Diane Ficklin, her daughter, Lyn Whitt (Terry), stepson Craig Louvier (Kelley), stepdaughter Lori Louvier, granddaughters Jessica Mathis (Tyler), Madison Louvier and Coby Louvier-Montano (Chelo), grandsons Roger Bowman, Jr. and Zachary Louvier, great grandchildren Jett and Andie Mathis, Charlotte and Katherine Louvier-Montano and many nieces, nephews, family relatives and dear friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband Howard Louvier, parents Leo Herman Ficklin, Sr., Winnie Marie Ficklin, brother Leo Herman Ficklin, Jr., and stepson, Howard Scott Louvier.
Norma left this earth dancing her way to the gates of Heaven, hand in hand with Jesus, His holy saints and angels, and into the arms of her husband and forever loved ones. She loved the Lord, the United States of America, and the military.

A visitation for Norma will be held Wednesday, January 29, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023. A funeral service will follow Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at 12:00 PM. A committal service is to occur Wednesday, January 29, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
After the burial on Wednesday, January 29, the family would like everyone to join them at the restaurant El Tiempo located on Navigation at 2 pm.
