

Ofelia O. Gallardo of Houston, TX passed away on July 2, 2025 at the age of 94. She was born on April 2, 1931 in Matehuala, S.L.P., Mexico where she grew up with her mother, Antonia Mendoza (deceased) and her brothers, Alejandro Mendoza (deceased) and Adalberto Pena (deceased).
She worked as a tailor at Lord & Taylors from 1964 – 1990.
She was actively involved with the Denver Harbor Civic Center. She loved playing loteria with her friends and family. She loved to dance and sing, and was always the life of the party every where she went.
She is survived by her son Felix O. Castillo, his wife, Alicia R. Castillo. Grandkids, Felix E. Castillo, Norma Garces, Hector F. Castillo, wife Margaret Castillo, Gisela A. Moreno, husband Paul Moreno and Ludivina Castillo. Great grandkids, Roxanne Davila, Michael R. Sandoval, Ashley Y. Castillo, Jonathan P. Moreno, Emily Moreno, Victoria G. Moreno, Aileen R. Castillo and Bella S. Castillo and great great grandchild, Julissa N. Sauceda.
The family would like to thank Toshiba for the care and compassion she showed our loved one in her final days. We greatly appreciate everything you did for her.

Family and friends are invited to attend viewing, scheduled on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, beginning at 5:00 p.m. with Rosary prayer at 6:30 p.m.
Wednesday, July 9, 2025, visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. with mass beginning at 2:00 p.m. with interment following.

Ofelia O. Gallardo, de Houston, TX, falleció el 2 de julio de 2025 a la edad de 94 años. Nació el 2 de abril de 1931 en Matehuala, S.L.P., México, donde creció junto a su madre, Antonia Mendoza (fallecida), y sus hermanos, Alejandro Mendoza (fallecido) y Adalberto Peña (fallecido).
Trabajó como costurera en Lord & Taylor’s desde 1964 hasta 1990.
Participaba activamente en el Denver Harbor Civic Center. Le encantaba jugar lotería con sus amigos y familiares. Le gustaba bailar y cantar, y siempre era el alma de la fiesta dondequiera que iba.
Le sobreviven su hijo Felix O. Castillo y su esposa, Alicia R. Castillo. Nietos: Felix E. Castillo, Norma Garcés, Héctor F. Castillo, su esposa Margaret Castillo, Gisela A. Moreno, su esposo Paul Moreno, y Ludivina Castillo. Bisnietos: Roxanne Dávila, Michael R. Sandoval, Ashley Y. Castillo, Jonathan P. Moreno, Emily Moreno, Victoria G. Moreno, Aileen R. Castillo y Bella S. Castillo, y tataranieta Julissa N. Sauceda.
