Tall in stature and in spirit, Oscar had a lifelong passion for sports—especially basketball, which he played throughout his life. He also enjoyed playing softball, bowling, and took great pride in coaching others. Oscar was known not only for his athletic abilities but also for his endless energy and love for the outdoors. Whether he was fixing things around the house, working in the yard, or simply enjoying the sunshine, he did it all with joy.
Oscar had a special connection with nature—birds were known to land on him as if they knew his gentle soul. He had a deep love for music, often filling his home with the sounds of his favorite tunes. His kitchen was always warm with the smells of breakfast and lunch he lovingly prepared every day for his grandbabies. He cherished his family deeply and was their biggest supporter, provider, and protector.
He was a great husband, father, grandfather, and person—kind and full of love. His warmth, humor, and larger-than-life personality touched the lives of everyone who knew him. A true jokester with a heart of gold, Oscar brought laughter and light wherever he went.
Oscar is survived by his loving wife, Alisa (Alice) Maldonado, their daughters, Catherine and Sandra, and his cherished grandchildren, Jeremiah, Alexander, Catelynne, and Charley.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family, friends, and all who were lucky enough to know him.
