Paula Louise Postlethwaite

She was born to Dod and Polly Brummett on October 1, 1945, in Austin, Texas, and they raised her in Galena Park, Texas.

Throughout her lifetime, Paula was blessed with three children, Geren Thomae, Grant Griffin, and Kati Postlethwaite-Harrison and son in law Charlie Harrison; followed by 6 grandchildren, Whitman Smith, Michael Griffin and wife Katie Griffin, Stephanie Thomae-Canard and husband Devin Canard, Zachary Postlethwaite, Charles Griffin, and Mackenzi James; and 4 great-grandchildren, Chet Hadlock and Conner Canard, Elowyn Aviv and Ivy Ariel Griffin.

To know her was to know someone who was generous and charming, sassy and spontaneous. She never met a stranger, and wore her heart on her sleeve. An excellent dancer, she passed on her love of music to her children and grandchildren.

Paula's professional life was mostly centered around sales and property management due to her sparkling personality and the 'gift of gab'. Much like her Mother, our Granny, everyone seemed to like her, no matter where she was.

Her life was full of meaningful relationships, not to mention her longtime love and companion, Mickey McCarty, who cared for our entire family with his sweet funny nature and acceptance of all that came with loving her. As a collective group, we are a lot and he did it with such a willingness and ease.

So now we come together to rejoice. She is once again with our Creator, at Abraham's Bosom which is translated as a state of bliss, with all those who have gone before her. Amen.

All of these blessings we know come from Grod, Who is the Author and finisher of our Faith.

As it is written, "we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.
