He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Lourdes Gonzalez and Rosalia Gonzalez; aunts Mary Teresa Tamayo, Margarita Zamora, Delfina Amezcua and Celia Amezcua; uncles Luis Amezcua, Jose Amezcua, Salvador Amezcua and Luis Alberto Amezcua.

Raul is survived by his siblings, Martin Jesus Gonzalez, Agustin Gonzalez, Maria de La Luz Gonzalez, Lydia Mata and husband Charles, Maria Estella Garay; nieces and nephews: Victor Garay and wife Claudia, Gilbert Garay and wife Barbara, Jose Garay and wife Michelle, Elizabeth Garay, John Garay, RosaLinda Mata and husband Moises, Marie Garay, Joshua Arredondo, Elizabeth Arredondo, Aaron Arredondo, Antonio Gonzalez, Martin Gonzalez, Jose Luis Gonzalez, Jeanette Mata; great-nephews Placido Garay, Brando Garay and Dylan Garay; cousins Salvador Zamora, Estella Zamora, Rita Zamora and husband Hugo, Patricia Zamora, James Zamora, Javier Zamora, Luis Zamora, Julian Zamora, Lauren Zamora and Sean Zamora; aunt Teresa, Soila, Alma, Gloria, Maria Teresa, Luz Maria, Maggie, Luis Alberto Grisel, Gloria, Alejandro and Jose Luis.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 from 5-9 PM with the Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7 PM in the Grand Chapel of Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at 10:30 AM at St Alphonsus Catholic Church 9217 E. Avenue L Houston, Texas.

Interment will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
