Raul Hinojosa was born in Houston, Texas on October 21st, 1980 to Domingo Angel Hinojosa and Maria Alicia Hinojosa. Too young and much too live for; he will be missed immensely by his family and friends.
His competitive nature was nurtured from a young age growing up with four brothers. He was a hard worker and selfless individual who never hesitated to help in whatever way that he could. He enjoyed being outdoors with friends or family, usually with him behind the grill or doing crawfish boils. It was nothing for him to spend an entire day or night out fishing. He enjoyed listening to music while tinkering with things around the house or with his vehicles.
When his family and friends think of baseball, they will always remember him, as this was one of his passions. He grew up playing baseball at Doss Park, which laid the foundation for what was to come as an adult. He became a little league coach and in 2019 helped form, a select team named the Houston Horns. Most of these kids then transitioned to form the team named Savages with Raul still as the coach. These kids went on to become very successful, winning many trophies/championships. Teaching these kids about baseball became his passion with nothing keeping him from being on the field.
He is preceded in death by his father, Domingo Angel Hinojosa.
He is survived by his son Jaciah Hinojosa; his mother, Maria Alicia Hinojosa, his brothers Juan, Victor, Jesus, and David; his sisters-in-law, Rosaura, Sandra, and Melissa; and many loving nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
