Ray was born on October 19, 1954, in Port Arthur, Texas, to Eva Jo and Arthur Ray Knight. His childhood was spent in Port Neches and Vidor, Texas, where he learned to love hunting and fishing. He served many years in the energy industry, most recently at Swain & Associates as a Senior Quality Assurance Inspector.
Ray is survived by his sister, Stephanie Rudd, his nephew and niece, Colin and Erin Rudd, and his uncle, aunt and cousin, Clyde, Pat and Larry Whitmire, along with numerous other cousins.
Relatives and friends were invited to attend a memorial service for Ray at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, May 18th at Waltrip Funeral Directors, 1415 Campbell Road in Houston.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial may be made to a charity of your choice.
