

Raymond J. Reichert, SFC, USA (RET), was born in Houston, Texas on Sunday, the 9th of October 1927 to Adam and Barbara (Knowis) Reichert. He passed away at the age of 84 on Friday, the 13th of January 2012 at home in Houston while surrounded by his family who loved him very much.
Raymond was a proud, retired veteran of the United States Army having served his country in the Korean and Vietnam Wars.
Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, then in 1999 by his beloved wife, Ruby Reichert. He is survived by his loving daughters, Joy Ribardo and husband Tommy, Donna Willis and husband Glenn, all of Bryan, Texas. Also surviving are his sisters, Tillie Barthelemy, Mary Campbell, Barbara Patton, Judy Harper, Ann Lindsey, many other loving relatives and dear friends.
Family and friends gathered for a visitation in the chapel of Waltrip Funeral Directors in Houston, Texas on Wednesday the 18th of January from nine until half past ten o'clock in the morning, at which time a funeral service celebrating this wonderful man's life was conducted by Reverend Michael Van Cleve of St. Jerome Catholic Church.
Following the chapel service, graveside services commenced at twelve o'clock noon at Houston National Cemetery, with military honors provided by the Veterans of Foreign Wars District Four Honor Guard.
