

Mrs. Rebecca Marie Lyons McIntosh was born in Rayne, Louisiana on January 2, 1943 to the late Eldridge Lyons Sr. and Sylvia LeBlanc Lyons. With the blessing of being reared in a loving Christian home, Rebecca accepted Christ as her personal Lord and Savior at a young age. She was baptized and a member of First Missionary Baptist Church. She moved to Houston at an early age, married, became a mother, caretaker, and grandmother. She devoted her life to her family as well as what she considered her extended family at the Silver Threads Nursing Home facility as an activity director, and Precious Moments Learning Center as an infant center manager. In her leisure, she enjoyed cooking, shopping and spending quality time with family and friends.She leaves to cherish her memory a loving family; one daughter, Jacqueline E. Smith (Gary); three grandchildren, Racquel Estes (Fred), Larry Carpenter (LaChe), Donavon Estes; seven great grandchildren; five sisters and eight brothers; Barbara A. Guillory, Carolyn Citizen (John), Silvia Strauss, Pricilla Davenport (Joseph), Jennifer Lyons, Marshall J. Lyons, Sr.(Betty), Danny L. Lyons, Anthony Locksey, Donald Locksey, Warren Locksey, Raymond Lyons (Margarent), Ronald Lyons, Letlon Yokum; one aunt, Pearl Lewis; and a host of nieces and nephews.
