I am saddened to hear of the death of Richard Harris.Richard served as a Social Studies teacher under my ledership at "Kay On Going Education"for 10 years.Richard was a special person with a quite and caring spirit.My God grant peace to your family and may you rest in Peace.

We had some great times and thought that we would have had a chance to say goodbye. Rest well my team mate and Social Studies colleague.  The Texans, Astros and Rockets will miss you too.

I will always  remember a gentle soul who  gave great hugs, loved teaching history, loved his family, and loved  his  Texans, Astros, Rockets .  I am saddened to hear of his passing.  I shall always remember his friendship.

Richard was a great soldier and outstanding educator in the Social Studies field. We worked together at Kay On going Girls School and Barbara Jordan High School. I will truely miss him and offer my deepest condolences to his family. Only God knows when our work is finised and then he is ready for us to be with him forever and ever.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.  There is light at the end of a tunnel.  Look to the hill whence cometh your help.  Your help come from God.   I will always remember Mr. Harris.  He was a good person and friend.

     I just received the news of Richard's death yesterday and want to offer my most sincere condolences.  I first met Richard in 1988 when I became Principat at Kay Ongoing Education Center in Houston ISD.  Richard was my valuable assistant in his role as teacher and Part-Time Principal until I retired in August, 1993.  Like so many others who respected and admired him, I am deeply grieved and bewildered to learn of his passing.  I hope his family, many co-workers and friends can find some small comfort in precious memories of the happy years he shared with all of us.
