I have know Ray for many years. He was a great athlete, but more importantly a fine and respected person. He had a believing smile and a thoughtful hello everytime I saw him. May God Bless Ray and his family today.

I am heartbroken at the news of Ray's passing. I met Ray in the 6th grade and immediately fell in love with his humor, kindness and dependability. During the junior high years when most boys were full of themselves and treated others poorly, Ray showed respect for others especially the girls. I knew he helped at hope as well as being there for others whenever they called upon him. I haven't seeen Ray for a long time but I will miss Robert Baby Ray Reynosa terribly.

R.I.P. "Coach" Reynosa. Ray was at St. Anne's when I was a student (class of '78). He was a good man!

I knew Ray to be a cheerful and giving person
when he coached at St. Anne School when I was Principal.  He enjoyed working with the boys
and my son, John, remembers him as a good person with 
a kind heart, even with a few pops here and there.

Wow...what a sad day indeed.  Coach was a great man and role model.  Prayers to the family!

Ray Reynosa was a "war horse" of an athlete with the heart of a true champion. We as a team at St. Anne's relied heavily on his talents, his courage and leadership to achieve championships in all the sports that were offered at that time, including an undefeated football season. Off the field Ray was somebody that you wanted on your side if things got rough. Rest in Peace Ray.

Ray, rest in peace my friend.  Heaven has gained a great Coach.  You will be missed, my friend.

I am truly saddened by the news of Coach Reynosa's passing.  He was a great coach and an important role model for me in my formative years. He believed in me and inspired me to be a better person. He will be sorely missed. Rest in peace Coach.

This is a sad day for all of us.
I remember watching Ray play football at the old ST. Thomas stadium when I was only 8. Even though he was undersized he was the toughest and one of the best players the eagles ever had.
His love for St. Thomas, his teammates and the kids he coached was incredible.
 One thing for sure if he is not inducted into the St. Thomas hall of fame, they shouldn't have one.
 Thank you ray for being who you were.

Leos Restaurant was a couple of doors down from my house on Shepard drive.  The first time I met him was in the parking lot of Leos.  We were maybe four or five.  We started fighting immediately.  I think his big brother had been teaching him a few things because I remember I didn't do very good.  We became good friends in the sixties.  I am sure he will be remembered by many.

Coach Reynosa was and always be an integral part of my childhood.  I know my brothers feel the same way.  He was the type of coach who would inspire and discipline us to be the best people we could be. Rest in Peace Coach and thank you for great memories.

What a coach,what a man !   I coached "against" Ray when he was at St.Anne's and I at St.John's.I consider him one of the best ever at getting the most out of kids of all different abilities. Also Ray was, and always will be, a St.Thomas Eagle stalwart and loyal alum. I also remember him teaching, running over to Leo's[Their Family restaurant] to help at lunch, then back to teach more and coach after school .    Stobie Whitmore

I only new Ray from coaching against him.  What a great guy.  He always treated his players, opponents, and officials with great respect. Our loss is God's gain.  Coach them well in heaven Ray.

We had many discussions over sports and coaching. Coach Rey was well-thought of and admired for all his work with the students of St. Anne's. I am so saddened by the loss of Rey. May Mother Mary welcome him home and may he rest in the arms of the Lord.

I remember Coach Raynosa fondly from my 8th grade year at Holy Ghost (1975-1976).  He was kind to me and invited me to be the basketball team manager.  Rest in peace Coach.  Thank you for showing me kindness when it was a scarce commodity in my life.

Coach Reynosa was my first "real" coach. He was a caring man and full of spirit. We all loved to play for him no matter the sport. Coach dispensed discipline and kindness equally. He will be missed.

I remember being a 6th grader and playing softball for the first time - I couldn't hit the ball at all.  Coach Reynosa knew I had the athletic ability and maybe even knew that being blind in one eye I'd need more help.  He took me aside (he wasn't even the softball coach) and worked with me one on one until I got the rhythm and idea.  I ended up being a pretty great softball player and I've always remembered his sweet smile and the kindness he showed me.
