Woodard on January 8, 1945, in San Antonio, Texas. 1957 Baptized at West Laurel Street Church of Christ San Antonio, Texas Robert Jr. was nurtured by Christian parents and exhibited a lifelong commitment to Christ. Along with his family, Robert was raised at the Laurel Street Church of Christ. 1963 Graduated from Fox Tech High School San Antonio, Texas 1964 Relocated to Houston Texas to attend Texas Southern University majoring in Health Education 1968 Common Wealth College of Mortuary Service Houston, Texas 1969 Drafted into the U.S. Army Awarded the Army Commendation Medal for Meritorious Service In The Republic of Vietnam from June 1970 to May 1971. 1970 Married Linda Flem to this union one child was born. 1971 Fulfilled the requirement to be registered as a Funeral Director in The State of Texas. 1973 Fulfilled the requirements by State Board of Texas, granted a License to practice The Science of Embalming. 1973 Employed as a Locomotive Engineer, Southern Pacific Transportation Company - Union Pacific Rail Road Transportation Company. 1988 Moved membership, South Union Church of Christ Houston, Texas. 1989 Robert Was introduced to Bettie. 1998 Robert L. Woodard Jr. and Bettie J. King Mayfield were united in Holy Matrimony August 2nd. There were no children born to this union. 1999 Received The Ambassador of Safety Meritorious Award, from Union Pacific Rail Road. Over Twenty-Five Years of Excellence in Safety Performance without a Personal Injury. 2007 Retired Locomotive Engineer from Union Pacific Rail Road thirty four years of service. Robert Served as Co-coordinator South Union Food Pantry, Co- coordinator RestorationlBuddy Ministry, Representative Lydia Circle. Served Church of Christ members as a Lifeline Chaplaincy Volunteer at MD Anderson Hospital every second Sunday following morning worship Robert was a master of home projects, had a passion for his Barbecue, processing deer sausage, deer hunting, fishing and often going deep sea fishing as well as fishing on the piers in Galveston, Texas. Enjoyed The, Annual Woodard Family Reunion to circulate among San Antonio, Dallas, and Houston Texas. He enjoyed The Annual Miller family reunion in Hallettsvile, Texas. Robert L.
