Roque "Rocky" Rodriguez

Rocky is preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Angelita Rodriguez; daughter, Elizabeth D. Gomez and daughter, Mary Catherine Qadri.

He was a proud veteran of his country, having served overseas as corporal in the Korean War. He began and ended his Catholic faith at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, in Houston, TX. Rocky served in countless ministries over the years, bringing many individuals closer to God.

He passed on his firm Catholic faith to his family and friends by living as a true man of God through His image and likeness.

Roque was a beloved man, known for his strong faith to God, good heartedness towards family, friends and strangers alike, and his love for the Houston Astros.

Rocky is survived by his son, John G. Rodriguez; daughter, Mary Helen Sanchez and husband, Ruben; fourteen grandchildren, Michael, Lisa, Angela, Teresa, Sara, Rebecca, Kimberly, Jessica, Melissa, Gabrielle, Jesse, Genaro, Veronica and Joshua. Seventeen great-grandchildren, extended family and countless friends. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 1, 2018 from 5-9 PM with the Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7PM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church 7539 Ave K, Houston, Texas 77012. Interment will follow with Military Honors at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
