Rose Martinez Salinas born on July 17, 1926, passed away on Jan. 19, 2014 at the age of 87. Rose was an avid reader; particularly fond of James Patterson novels. As a resident of Villa Toscana, she was an active bingo player and enjoyed dancing. She was the winner of the International Festival - representing Mexico - at the nursing home last year. Rose is survived by her son, Arthur Salinas & wife, Esther, son; Alex Salinas; daughters, Rosalina Cadena, Irene Wilson & Life partner, Karla Lee. Numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandhildren and other relatives also survive.Funeral Mass: 10:00 AM, Thursday, Jan 23, 2014 at St. James The Apostle Catholic Church, 22800 Aldine-Westfield, Spring, Texas 77373. The Rite of Christian Burial will follow at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery. The family wishes to express their gratitude to Silverado Hospice, as well as the staff at Villa Toscana for their heartfelt concern and love shown to Rose while she was a resident there.
