I had the privilege of spending some of my teens with Rosemary and her family. She taught me what a woman of God was supposed to be. She also taught me how to drive. I felt so much peace in her home and remember that time fondly. Not a day goes by I don't think about her, as I pass the church on Waugh headed to work. I am a second cousin on my fathers side and guilty of not keeping in touch. My heart is saddened for the family who lost a lovely woman, the world who lost a role model, and myself who lost the time to reunite... God bless.

I was so sad to hear that Ms. Lopez past away. Unfortunately to late for me to pay my last respects. I often had the opportunity to work with Ms. Lopez at Casa.  She was such a wonderful person, and was great with the patients and staff.  It was sad to see her step down as the director, as well as see her retire (even though she deserved it so much).  She was one of the people you know made life her a little bit better.  Heaven surely gained an angel.  May God be with her husband, family as friends

She was a strong, brilliant, and inspiring woman. I had the privelage of working with her at Casa De Amigos. Her honesty and standing up for what was right were just a couple of her excellent attributes. She touched my life in many ways and words can't explain the strenght and love she gave me when I needed it the most in my life.  My condolences to her husband and family. I am thankful to God for allowing me to meet such a great woman and friend in my life time.

As my dad Jose Torres used to say  and still does in heaven  let us buy a cake and some drink to celebrate this wonderful day in which our love one is leaving this earth.  To go and live with Our Lord Jesus to serve him and be loved by him.  Now hermana Lopez is in the arms of Our Dear Lord Jesus and she is full of joy and happiness  which I believe we can only imagine. We who are here on earth are to serve those loved ones and those we dont know so one day when it comes time for those who we love and those friends we love 
should one day look up into heaven and say I am ready and coming to be in your arms  and they say it with a smile on their face. We alll loved Hermana Lopez in our own way let us preserve her and our loved ones memories by 
showing and demostrating  Jesus love toward each other

Con el corazon en la mano le digo...I am sorry, so sorry... I am thinking of you and yours during this difficult time.  I know what you are feeling as the love of my life went home to our LORD. I know what your kids are going thru as my parents went home to our LORD also. You were there with us ..you have done so much for us.

You and Rosemary meant so much to our family.   I remember Rosemary playing the piano at church...I remember Rose beautiful  tan, smooth and  clear  complexion while I had pimples, that I  could not get rid off....I remember Rose proudly walking us thru your new home in Crystal City which was close to the church.  I remember those great church picnics a la orilla del agua y sus sermones que llegaron a fondo de mi corazon. Vivid also in my mind were the services you had en la barraca close to my parent home..sometimes it was only you, Rosemary and the children but  all were faithfully servicing our LORD.: never losing faith and at the end: SUCCEEDED  in building a strong congregation in a beautiful church which is still going  forward and still strong servicing our LORD.  You and Rose sowed the seed and we see the harvest blossoming.  Zeke, mi hijo, remembers Rose as a Sunday School Teacher, while in Crystal City.   We see the hand of our GOD working in each one that you and Rosemary touched.  


Bro Lopez , I am a much better person trying to live by the fruit of the spirit and by HIS GRACE am SAVED and  will continue to do HIS will, with HIS help. Rose is now a beautiful rose: cortada al amanecer  y esta en los brazos de Nuestro Senor Jesucristo  

Your loved one has left behind a thousand memories  that will live in your heart forever.

Bro. Lopez, I can still remember what you preached on at Dixie Meyers funeral, the hope we have in Christ. I remember it quite often, actually. What a blessed hope it is!

"But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him."

What a terrible thing it is to lose someone so dear to you and others. 

But how wonderful it is that we serve a living God who gives peace and comfort in the midst of such a great loss.

I had the greatest pleasure of working with Mrs. Lopez at Casa de Amigos. She was the greatest Director there. I remember her drive to actually help her clients. Her desire for all her employees to be their best. She was truly one of the most honest and sincere person that has passed through our lives. I will always have fond memories of her.

I had the privilege of knowing Rosemary for 20 years. She was a great inspiration to me. I believe she wanted women to feel empowered and encouraged me and others to pursue our dreams.She was someone that inspired me from the first day i met her. I was inspired that she went back to school later in life. She graduated nursing school at 54 at the same time I graduated at 37. We worked side by side at a very busy county hospital ER and Preop Screening and got "our teeth kicked in every day". She was ALWAYS the one to keep our spirits up and keep us going. The world has lost an angel. I will always have fond memories of her.

I had the pleasure of work with Mrs.Lopez at Casa De Amigos, she was a great Director.  My deepest condolences to the family.

You are all in our thoughts and prayers. I have told my kids stories about our Wednesday visits to San Antonio as children, and our "other home" at the Lopez'. She will always be in my heart, and therefore, always with us. I wish I could be there, but please know I'm thinking of y'all.

My beloved cousin Rose was a very special person. Her witty personality. She was easy to talk to and would always give good Christian advice. We had alot of good memories of when the family lived in Crystal City, we kids were young and me and my Mom and Dad visited them in the summer. We always had a wonderful time.
