Mrs. Rosia Harris Allen

Rosia Mae Harris Allen was born on August 29, 1948 in Texarkana, Texas to Malachi Harris and Meroline Bradley Harris. She was the oldest of 6 children. Rosia grew up in the Houston Heights community where she also attended school.

Rosia confessed her belief in Christ at an early age. She was baptized at Second Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Fletcher. She served on the usher board, Sunday School and BTU. In later years, Rosia became a Seven Day Adventist.

Rosia was married to Larry D. Allen. There were no biological children, but she was given the title of “Momma Rose” by Larry’s children and their families.

Rosia was a school bus driver for many years, serving Houston ISD, Aldine ISD, Humble ISD, Tyler ISD and Klein ISD. She will be remembered for her dedication, caring and sense of humor while carrying out her duties. She never forgot that safety came first while driving students to and from school every day.

On Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at age 72, God call Rosia home. She was preceded in death by her father, Malachi Harris; mother, Meroline Harris, and her baby boy, Jefferi Todd Santee.

She leaves to cherish her memory: husband: Larry D. Allen; 2 sons: Keith Eric Santee (Beverly) and Kevin Elliott Santee, Sr. (Angela); 2 grandsons: Kevin E. Santee, Jr. and Ryan L. Santee, and 6 great grandchildren. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren affectionately called Rosia “Love”. 3 Sisters; 2 Brothers; 8 Nieces; 7 Nephews; 1 aunt (Doddridge, AR), 3 sister-in-laws, and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.

Rosia’s presence will be dearly missed. May God Bless and Keep Us All.
