Mr. Roy Lee Thomas, age 74, of Houston, Texas, died Tuesday, May 14, 2013. He was born November 20, 1938. Roy L. Thomas was the second son of the parents of Joseph Sr. and Gladys Thomas. He accepted Christ at an early age at St. Paul A.M.E. Church. Roy attended Phillis Wheatley High School and soon afterwards he enlisted in the army. Roy was preceded in death by his father Joseph Thomas, Sr. and three brothers, Joseph Thomas Jr., Michael Thomas, and David Thomas, Sr. He is survived by his mother Gladys Thomas, wife of 30 years Versie Thomas, four daughters Kimberly Sears (Alford), Taqwanna Clarke (Darmekus), Cordelia and Cecilia Thomas, his three brothers Weldon Thomas (Mary), Ralph Thomas (Janice) and Myron Thomas, who are all from Houston, Texas. Also, a hand full of grandkids, stepchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
