

Preceding him in death are his sons, Michael Angel, Robert Xavier, Ralph Edward, great-grandson, Christopher Joseph, and son-in-law, Ronnie Patterson.
While still a young child, the Espinosa family settled around Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, in Houston's Magnolia Park subdivision. Mr. Espinosa would serve the church throughout his entire lifetime. As a young man, he was a student at St. Anthony Oblate Seminary in San Antonio, Texas before joining the U.S. Marine Corp shortly before the attack on Pearl Harbor. He served in the Pacific theater, attaining the rank of Sergeant.
Following his tour of duty, he married his childhood sweetheart, Mary Soledad Medrano on July 21, 1946. They reared six children while he practiced his lifelong profession as Master Tailor and Designer. Hence the name "Rudy the Tailor." Mr. Espinosa was a devout Catholic gentleman, a proud U.S. Marine, and an outstanding community servant.
Surviving Mr. Espinosa is Mary Soledad Espinosa, his wife of sixty-nine years; his son Rudy Arthur Espinosa and his wife, Annie Chavez; daughters, Maria Rebecca Patterson, and Anna Maria Espinosa; and daughter-in-law, Debbie Espinosa, fifteen grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and sister, Mary Lou Boatman of Vernon, Texas.
Visitation will be 5-9pm, with a Rosary at 7pm, on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home.
Funeral Mass will begin at 10am, on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Burial to follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
