Rudy Selvera

Rudy was born in Galveston, TX on August 7, 1952 to Lucy and Isidro Selvera and passed away on January 29, 2021 at the age of 68. He spent most of his life growing up in the Heights area of Houston. He graduated from Reagan High School. As a teen and in his 20's he loved to surf and spend time on the water on his sail boat. In his thirties he met his wife Elia and they were married on October 22, 1988. He shared his love to fish with her and they eventually built their own home in Bolivar, TX. Rudy also loved to cook for his family and for events and even had a catering company for a few years. He retired in 2006 from AT&T, where he worked for over 30 years. He spent the last few years remodeling and building beautiful homes. He worked hard for his family and over the years they traveled to the islands of Mexico, went skiing in New Mexico, enjoyed Hawaii, Florida, and California. He and Elia celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary in Paris and Rome. He never met a stranger, and loved to tell stories and jokes. He will be greatly missed by his family and his many friends.
