Russell Earl Thompson, born January 15, 1950 in Falfurrias, Texas, passed away May 9, 2010 in Houston. Rusty was a local artist and sculptor and will be missed by his many friends and family. He is survived by his mother, Marti Lee Jones; brothers, Max Thompson and wife, Marilyn, Tom Thompson, and Mike Thompson; daughters, Lisa Caruthers and husband, James, and Deborah Hinton and husband, Keenan, and the pride of his life, his grandson, Julian Caruthers.
A memorial service celebrating Rusty’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 13, 2010 in the Chapel of Heights Funeral Home.
