Samuel Jacob Lofton, age 16, passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2013. A beloved son, brother, and grandson. Samuel was a very good student who was loved by his teachers. He was loyal to everyone he knew, artistic, always pulling for the underdog and an advocate for the less fortunate. His heritage of being raised with great faith in God has followed him throughout his short time on earth. He is survived by his parents, Todd and Michelle Lofton; brother, Michael Lofton; maternal grandmother, Pam Johnston; maternal grandfather, Mickey Johnston; paternal grandparents, Ben and JoAnn Lofton; maternal great-grandmother, Mary Campbell of Austin, Texas; paternal great-grandmother, Silva Whitehead of Fort Worth, Texas; and numerous aunts, uncles, and devoted cousins. Private services will be held at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home and Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Boys and Girls Country, 18806 Roberts Road, Hockley, Texas 77447.
