Sherry Lynne Jackson

Sherry Lynne Jackson, age 73 passed away peacefully at her home October 3, 2020 due to cancer. She was born February 4, 1947 in Wilmington, Delaware to George and Catherine Pettigrew. Sherry grew up in Denver, Colorado and Jacksonville, Florida, which she had fond memories of these times. Upon moving to Houston, Texas she met the love of her life, Donald Jackson and married in August 1968, who preceded her in death in May 1992. She was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and friend.

Sherry always looked like she stepped out of a magazine….her hair and makeup perfectly done and dressed to the nines. She loved to help others. She made beautiful jewelry and was very crafty. She was always busy with some type of project and enjoyed cooking and baking. She loved and doted on her grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as, her sweet French bulldog, Jackie. Her love of traveling was well known by her friends and family. She especially loved road trips with her dear friend, Cathy, with whom she shared many adventures with. Sherry always kept an immaculate home, when possible. She enjoyed shopping and could always find a good bargain and loved a good margarita!

For many years Sherry worked as a personal banker from which she retired.

Sherry is survived by her beloved children, William Johnson, Bonnie Lechnar, Tammy Rose, her son in laws, Chris Rose and Joe Lechnar, daughter in law, Arcely Johnson, grandchildren, Nick Lechnar, Ryan Zeller, Zachary Lechnar, and Catherine Lechnar, great grandchildren, Jenna, Sophia, Darrell , and Ellie.

All whom loved her dearly will never forget her caring loving nature, feistiness, strength, wit, grace and undying love and caring for them.
