

We lost our dear mother, Sherry Ellen O'Bryant Graham McFarland on November 4,2022 of natural causes. Sherry was born on April 17, 1936 in Paducah, Hickman County, Kentucky to her father, Jerrold Duke O'Bryant and her mother Effie Pebbles O'Bryant.
Jerrold was in the service of the army, so, the young family moved around quite a bit stateside. Jerrold was in service in WWII under General George Patton. When he returned stateside, the family settled in Houston,TX alongside many family members. Sherry attended Lamar High School, where she was President of the CHUMS club. She met her life long friends at Lamar High School,who all reminded her friends for her entire life. Sherry met Richard Gay Graham at church youth group. He was the leader of the youth group and a medical student at Baylor Medical School. The youngest graduate of the school at the time.Sherry and Richard were married in August,1956. Their first daughter, Susan Elizabeth Graham was born in May, 1958. Their second daughter, Gay Marie Graham was born in November, 1959. Sadly, Richard passed away from a brain tumor at age 28. Sherry and her girls lived with her parents when she met Frank Ray McFarland, Jr. Known as Mack. He had been widowed early too. Together, they were the original "Brady Bunch". But known as the "McFarland Bunch". 3 girls, one boy. Mack is brought a girl and boy to the marriage. Mack passed away of kidney cancer in the summer of 1977.
Sherry is survived by her children, Susan McFarland Wind, Katherine McFarland Riolo, Gay McFarland Marchant and Frank Ray McFarland, III. Also her grandchildren, Wendy Marchant, Eric Wind, Holly Marchant and Brett Wind, and others. She is also survived by great grandchildren, Josiah Wind and Micah Wind.
Service is on December 21, 2022 at 2pm at Forest Park - Lawndale.
