Shirley Ann Stiles

Shirley Ann Stiles, 74, of Huffman, Texas went home to be with God on December 4, 2015. Shirley was known to her grandchildren as Grandmother, while her great grandchildren called her mee-maw. At Lowe’s in Atascocita, she was known by her coworkers and friends as Ms. Shirley (boss lady) while some customers referred to her as “The Plant Lady”. Her only daughter (deceased), and only surviving son, were proud to call her mom.

Her contributions in life were simple and old fashioned. She lived by the golden rule that one should show up on time for work every day, do the job with pride, and be loyal to the company and one’s self. She had a talent for making things grow and she pursued it with a passion. This was a woman who never sat still. When Shirley was not at her job, she could always be found working outside in her yard doing various chores and taking care of her 30+ humming bird feeders. She put her family first and kept her friends close to her heart. She loved her family, coworkers, neighbors, and her four surviving sisters, Jo, Barbara, Linda, and Nancy. Shirley was the type of person who was dedicated to those she loved. Oftentimes, she would do without so that others could have.

Shirley married Oscher Ashley and had two children, Rhonda (which preceded her) and C.T. .Rhonda married Joe Kline, and they had three children together, Joey, Jason, and Misty. C.T. Married Teri Darby, and they had two children, Christine and Cybil. Shirley’s second husband, Albert (Al) Stiles preceded her and she will be laid to rest next to him.

Services for Shirley Ann Stiles will be held at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home Cemetery:

December 09 – viewing from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM

December 10 – funeral service from 10:00 AM
