Suzanne Showers-Rush

Suzanne was born to George and Lorraine Showers on October 2nd, 1952.

Sue was the most loving person—she did not know evil. When she said she loved you, she meant it with her whole heart. She brought laughter to every person she met and lived a beautiful life despite her health issues. She added something special, in one way or another, to every life she touched.

She graduated from Ross Sterling High School in 1971. When asked about her plans after graduation, she said she wanted to be a mother and a wife. She later attended beautician school at North Harris Community College but chose to work for the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, where she served as a PBX operator and later as a 911 dispatcher.

Suzanne is survived by her loving partner of over 30 years, Lawrence “Randy” Rush of Crosby, Texas; her older brother, George W. Showers Jr. (Gloria) of Katy, Texas; her daughter, Misti Barnett (James) of Austin, Texas; and her stepdaughter, Kristie Rush of Crosby, Texas.

She also leaves behind ten grandchildren: Tyler, Randy, Kelli, Konni, Rachel, Ben, Ryland, Peyten, Markus Jr., and J.Y.; and three beautiful great-grandchildren: Adilaine, Everly, and Atticus.

She will be deeply missed, but her memory will stay with us forever.

Visitation will be held at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023, US, on April 29, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Pamela’s Funeral Service will take place at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023, US, on April 30, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, followed by the Committal Service at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023, US, on April 30, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
