Sylvia was born to Raymond Garcia and Rosenda Rodriguez, June 5, 1953, in Houston, TX. She married Lorenzo Saldana in 1969, and they lived together in Houston, TX. Together they raised eight children.
She is survived by: Lorenzo Jr Saldana, Cynthia Lozano, John Anthony Saldana, Adrian Saldana, Steve Saldana, Jerry Saldana, Albert Saldana, Lawrence Saldana, John Jr Saldana & Daniel Rodriguez She also leaves to cherish her memory forty-one Grandchildren, Thirty-five Great Grandchildren, and one Great-Great Grandchild.
She was preceded in death by sons Lawrence Saldana, John Jr Saldana, daughter-in-law Iliana Saldana, and niece Pricilla Duenez.
Sylvia Saldana worked as a homemaker for all her life after getting married. She enjoyed taking care of her children, nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Sylvia will be held Thursday, September 28, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. A funeral service will occur Friday, September 29, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A committal service will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
