

On December 20, 1924, Elgie and Tommy Foster became the proud parents of a beautiful baby girl named Thelma Lois. Thelma shared her love, joy, and giving spirit throughout her life. She was a devoted wife to C.M. Gray and the loving mother of Stephen, Marvin, Timothy, and Harriet. Thelma was preceded in death by her husband C.M. and her children Harriet, Timothy and Marvin and granddaughter Monica. She was a proud member of Johnson Chapel CME, where she served in many capacities. Thelma was affectionately known as, Mrs. Gray, by all who loved her. Mrs. Gray was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as grandmother, and she was still called, Mrs. Gray. She had a lively personality and generous spirit. She always had a meal on the stove and if she didn’t she would cook you one. Mrs. Gray’s legacy will continue through her son Stephen (Linda), daughter in law Brenda and son in law Lawrence. Grandchildren; Jacqueline, LaTisha (Gerald II), Statton, Sunya (Steve), Tanisha, Cornell (Andrea), Tracy (Darrell) and Rashad. Great grandchildren; Deonte, ShaBreon, Breyana, Deanna, Tre’Von, Cydni, LaDarius, Gerald III, Cedric Jr., Kaylynn, Jordan, Troi, Jace, Jadyn and Madison . Great great grandchildren; Journe’, Jallaya and Zaiden, very special family friends Verlenthia Buchanan, Janette, Francis, the Davis Family and a host of family and friends.
