“Be not afraid”
In May of 2010 Tom was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon Cancer, he had several surgeries, and several rounds of intense chemotherapy, but was able to BEAT it. Unfortunately, it returned, but that didn’t stop him…he was determined to SMASH CANCER and he battled a hard fight all the way to the very end. Throughout his entire journey Tom was always so positive by continuing to have Faith and just “Live Life”. Anyone that knows Tom, knows that he had a huge heart, a smile that was contagious, and an infectious laugh. Tom was blessed to have an amazing Oncologist, Nurse, and team to help care for him during what seemed like a never ending rollercoaster.
“Cancer don’t sleep so I can’t rest” “5 year survivor…4th battle”
Even though he was fighting to beat this horrible disease he didn’t let that stop his normal life and daily routines. Tom continued to work nights, take his kids to school, take family trips, and even made time for his passion. God blessed Tom with an amazing artistic talent. He loved anything and everything that had to do with Airbrushing. It started off as a hobby, and ended up becoming a brand. The “Zemog Studios” logo can be seen all over Houston, throughout the United States, and even Japan!! Tom might have been fighting his own battle, but he was always willing to help others that were fighting their own as well by donating his time and talent to several charities and benefits. One of Tom’s biggest dreams and goal was to restore his 1954 wagon and drive it to The Lonestar Round Up in Austin, TX. With the help from “Los Cochinos” car club and ALL of his closest friends they were able to make his dreams a reality.
“Be Stronger than your Struggle”
Tom fought a hard battled, but in the end we all WON! He gets to rest in peace, pain free, and we gained a guardian angel that will always be with us.
