Tony Albert Gonzales passed away on March 9, 2017. He was born in Houston, TX on November 9, 1949 to Dolores and Tony Gonzales. Tony was preceded in death by his parents; his grandson, Raphael Esparza; and godson, Jose (Gordy) Martinez. Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 30 years, Esperanza (Hope); his daughters, Angelica and Carissima (Sergio); sons, Gabriel (Brenda) and Roy (Cassandra); sisters and brother Lilian (Ruben), Stella, Norma (Allen), and Louis; grandchildren, Aaron, Carlos, Jonathan, Christopher, Gabrielle, Alissa, and Isabella; great-grandchildren, Carly, Iris, and Noah; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Tony was a proud fire fighter. He retired as a Captain (Fire Inspector) from the Houston Fire Department and was a member of the International Association of Firefighters (IAFF)-Local 341.
Tony loved life and loved to see everyone around him happy. He had an infectious sense of humor that put a smile on everyone’s face. He loved classic movies and TV shows and had a deep loyalty for Houston sports teams. But his greatest passion was his family- he was a great provider and protector and deeply loved by his family.
We would like to give a heartfelt thank you to the Houston Fire Department for honoring Tony with his "Final Call".
