Tot Van Nguyen

Tot Van Nguyen, born on December 25, 1941, passed away on October 27, 2025, at the age of 83. A resident of Katy, Texas, Tot was known for being a beloved, devoted, generous, hard-working, humorous, kind-hearted, and selfless individual.

He proudly served in the Army of the Republic of Vietnam (ARVN). In the 1960s, while working as an electrician at a small factory in Saigon, he met the love of his life, Hon Nguyen. For 62 wonderful years, Tot and Hon shared a loving marriage and built a beautiful family together, including seven children, 14 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

Tot loved the outdoors and found joy in fishing, hunting, farming, traveling, and, most of all, spending endless time with his family. Known to everyone as the "Medicine Man," he was the go-to person for all minor illnesses at home and in the community. With his traditional remedies and gentle hands, he cared for others throughout his life.

He was kind, respectful, thoughtful, and deeply empathetic. Tot taught his family the values of gratitude, hard work, and sacrifice through his quiet strength and unwavering support.

A visitation will be held at Earthman Resthaven, located at 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060, on November 3, 2025, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. A catered reception will follow in the Event Room from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. The funeral service will take place at Earthman Resthaven from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, followed by the committal service at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery from 2:00 pm to 2:30 pm.

Tot leaves behind his wife, Hon Nguyen, children: Nguyen Minh Tuoi, Nguyen Van Hung, Nguyen Minh Thanh, Nguyen Thi Kieu Trinh, Nguyen Thanh Tai, Nguyen Thi Thu, and Nguyen Vu Phong and siblings: Nguyen Van Thay, Nguyen Van Hoa, and Nguyen Thi Ut.

Pallbearers will be his sons: Nguyen Minh Tuoi, Nguyen Van Hung, Nguyen Minh Thanh, Nguyen Thanh Tai, and Nguyen Vu Phong.
