

Vapor Johnson Ratcliff was born in Nacogdoches, Texas on April 30, 2014 to the late Tom and Emma Johnson. Vapor transitioned into her new heavenly home on July 7, 2014 where she reunited with her parents, her brother; Fritz, Curley, Britt, Jack and Nahala and her three sisters, Fannie, Rosie and Lillie. Vapor attended public school in nacogdoches but at an early age she moved to Livingston, Texas where she continued her quest for knowlege. It was in Livingston where she met Olen Ratcliff, fell in love and married him. Soon after marriage they moved to Houston in search of a better life. Although Vapor and Ole never had children of their own, they were staunch supporter of their nieces and nephews. Soon after gettig settled in Houston, Vapor got involved in the Church Of God In Christ system and continued working until her health failed. She was extremely involved and dedicated in the local, state and national associations. She was involved in every phase of the church at one time or another.She loved studying her Bible, singing, learning the word and living the Christian life. Just a few of the things that kept her busy at greater Emmanuel for 50 yearse are: 1. Mission president for over 35 years 2. Mother of the church over 10 years 3. National Usher Board member over 50 years 4. Food pantry President over 50 years 5. Jurisdiction usher for Texas South East 6. Regular attendance (rain, sleet, snow, cold, hot, day or night) 7. Sunday school teacher 8. Student of the word Vapor leaves to treasure her memory a very devoted sister-in-law, a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins and many friends.
