She is preceded in death by her husband, George Myers; parents, Ernest and Della Mielsch; daughter, Claudine Vallis and husband, Bill; brothers, Vernon, Cotton and Jesse Mielsch as well as many other family members. Velma is survived by grandchildren Michael Vallis and wife, Nannette, Charles Vallis, Rhonda Lee and husband, William; great-grandchildren, Hannah Vallis, Hunter Vallis, Ryan Lee and Brittany Bowen.
Velma enjoyed gardening, canning, cooking and spending time with family and friends.
She will be laid to rest at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home and Cemetery on Friday, November 25, 2022 at 10:00 am.
A visitation for Velma will be held Friday, November 25, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060. A committal service will occur Friday, November 25, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060.
