VERA JEAN HABENICHT SCOTT, age 87, went to meet her Lord on April 24, 2016 at 8:14 am. She was a native Texan, born and raised in Harlingen in the lower Rio Grande Valley, residing the last 37 years in Spring, Texas. Waiting to greet her in heaven is her husband, Dewey Hunnam Scott and grandson, Andrew Hunnam Scott. Left behind to cherish her memory are her five daughters, Bonniebelle Scott Spencer (John), Mary Kate Scott, Rebecca Lynn Scott, Laurel Lea Scott, and Stephenia Patricia Scott; one grandson, Cameron Hunnam Scott, all from Spring, Texas; one brother, Douglas Earl Habenicht (Janet) and nephews, Daniel (Kymber)and Dennis (Louann), great niece Lauren , great nephew Dalton and niece Rae (Dan), great nephew Michael. She will be missed by a multitude of family and friends. In lieu of a visitation or graveside, there will be a service at Earthman Resthaven, 13102 North Freeway on Thursday, April 28 at 2:00 P.M. She will be laid to rest with her husband at the Houston National Cemetery.
