Victoria Ann Stewart

On August 5, 1946, Victoria\Aunt Vickie\Granny was born to Mr. Wesley Reed and Ms. Maggie (Williams) Blunt in Franklin LA. Her early years included attendance at Willow Street Elementary School in Franklin, LA.

And I said, Oh that I had wings like a dove! for then would I fly away, and be at rest. -Psalm 55:6

After transition into Houston with her mother and siblings, she attended and graduated from Jack Yates Senior High School. Upon graduation, she joined the workforce and was employed at NASA Space Center. After her tenure with NASA, she gained employment at Texas Medical Center Methodist Hospital in the Surgical Sterile Supply area.

There she met and married Edward Stewart (husband of 49 years and 8 months). Wanting to improve her station in life, she enrolled in Computer Technical Training School. Upon graduation, she secured employment at Cameron Iron Works, where she worked for 15 years.

Over the years, she developed a great love for infants and toddlers, including her own two sons, as well as those of family and friends. She sought and gained employment with the Houston Independent School District. First, at Hohl Elementary, and ended her career at Wesley Elementary school by retiring at age 66. Thereafter until her illness spent her days and some nights caring for infants and toddlers as her own.

She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, the sound of the slot machines, and loved her Pittsburgh Steelers. Victoria was called to eternal rest on January 18, 2020. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Preceded in death by mother Maggie Williams-Blunt, father, Mr. Wesley Reed, Brothers, Sammy Blunt, CJ Blunt, Ivory Blunt, Ernest Lee Williams, Lawrence Williams, sisters Lizzie May Swanson, Ora Mae Thomas, and Theresa King.

She leaves to mourn her passing husband (Edward Stewart), sons with their wives (Andre Philip Stewart with wife Roslyn) and (Michael Anthony Stewart, Sr with wife Margaret); sister, (Alberta with husband Willie Landers); brothers, (Wesley and wife Vicki Ann Williams), (Robert Blunt), (Herbert Williams), (Aaron Charles Williams). Grandkids; Andre Dominique Stewart, Amber Stewart, Chancellor Lewis, Nicholas Drake Stewart, Cheyenne Stewart, Michael Stewart Jr, Asia Stewart, Bryson Stewart, Micah Stewart, Kai Stewart. Along with a host of nieces and nephews. Great Grandkids: (Michaela Stewart and Cameron Kirkpatrick). Extended Grandkids (Rylan, Dacota, Jeremy, Lonnie, Randy)
