

Ms. Wanda Louise Butler, 93, of Pasadena, Texas, passed away on February, 17, 2017. She was born in Lawton, Oklahoma on August 23, 1923 to parents Grover and Lillian Weaver. Ms. Butler graduated from Reagan High School at 16-years of age. She then went on to receive her college degrees in education from the University of Houston, receiving a Master of Education and a certificate in Library Science.
Ms. Butler was a member of First Christian Church of Pasadena; Delta Kappa Gamma (Epsilon Pho Chapter); Pi Lambda Chi Olum; Texas Retired Teacher Association; Member of Museum of Natural Science; Sierra Club and other Wildlife/ Environmental Organizations, a Volunteer at Hospitality Apartments (Houston) and Pasadena Community Ministries .
Ms. Butler married Donald James Butler of Houston on June 22, 1946 they were married for 44 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald James Butler, brothers, Wayne and James Weaver, and daughter, Deborah Louise Butler. She is survived by her son, Donald Craig Butler, her daughter-in-law, Carrie May Butler, grandson, Jacob Craig Butler, and granddaughter, Rachel Paige Butler; who reside in Montgomery, Texas. She is also survived by nieces, Jackie Miller of Huntsville, Texas; Marianne Hieronymus of Katy, Texas; and several nephews, Bruce Weaver of Carollton, Texas; Fred Weaver of Conroe, Texas; and Ed Weaver of Manvel, Texas and a cousin Margarette Garrett .
Funeral arrangements are made at Forest Park Funeral Home for Saturday, February, 25th at 10:00 a.m. Donations may be made in memoriam to the donor’s favorite charity.
