

Weldon Lee Holloway was born on April 22, 1921 to George and Carrie Wilson-Holloway in Dime Box, Texas. He was one of twelve (12) children. Weldon entered into eternal rest on April 8, 2014. He accepted Christ as his personal savior and remained faithful until his death. Weldon graduated from Freeman Senior High School in Caldwell, Texas on May 30, 1941. After high school he enlisted in the United States Army 1943. After his service, he received an Honorable Discharge in 1946. He then entered Kentucky State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Studies. He graduated in the Class of 1952. He received a Teacher's Permanent Certification from the Texas Education Agency in 1955 and a Provisional High School Certification from the State of Ohio Department of Education. He ventured in occupations in the field of hospitality for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Carrie Holloway; wife, Mary Holloway;former wife Norma Holloway; son,Juan Holloway;brothers Jewel, Bertrand and Graydon Holloway; sisters-in-law, Thelma and Alma Holloway; brothers-in-law, Sylvester Sampson and Alfred Douglass; and son-in-law, Irvin C. Richardson. Weldon leaves, to mourn: four daughters: Wanda Holloway, Sharon Holloway-Denman(Royce), Bridgette Holloway and Eva Richardson; son, Wayne Holloway; one stepdaughter, Jocelyn Johnson(Willis); one stepson, Zachary Faniel; four granddaughters: Simone and Jarya Holloway, L'Tanya Richardson, and Tammy Jordan(Terrance);grandsons; Tori Mitchell(Diedra), Micah and Aaron Holloway, and Shang Moore(Tonshea); seven great grandchildren, one great-great grandson; sisters, Juanita Sampson and Nettie Stonum; and sister-in-law, Viola Holloway. He will also be missed by many loving nieces, nephews, and many other special relatives and friends.
