William Reginald Howell passed away on May 2, 2012. He was born September 20, 1929 in St. George, South Carolina to the late Hardee and Alice Bell Howell. He graduated from Presbyterian College in Clinton, South Carolina on June 4, 1951. William served honorably in the Air Force for 4 years and was discharged on July 2, 1955. He was a CPA and retired from Tenneco, Inc. in 1985. William is survived by his wife of 56 years, Ruth Ann; stepdaughter, Elizabeth Ann Montgomery and husband, Grady Montgomery; brother, Kirklyn Howell and wife Henrietta Howell; sister, Belle Howell Whetsell and husband, Durham Whetsell; three nephews, Lyn Howell, Barry Whetsell, and Johny Whetsell and one niece, Mary Ann Childs. A visitation will be held on Sunday, May 6, 2012 at Heights Funeral Home from 5-8p. A funeral service will be at 11:30am in the Chapel of Heights Funeral Home on Monday, May 7, 2012 with internment to follow at Memorial Oaks Cemetery. A reception will follow at the home of Ruth Ann Howell.
