I knew Bubba for over 35 years and worked with him as his Financial Advisor.  It’s been hard going to their office and not see him there.  He is so greatly missed.  I’m honored to have known him for so long and miss our long conversations about his golf outings or just chatting in general about life.   I know he is looking down on us in heaven in no pain and playing golf if it’s a thing in Heaven.  We love you and miss you.

Bubba was for sure...one of a kind. He was NOT my grandfather, father, uncle or cousin.  I spent time with him because I wanted to. I enjoyed his company. He was my friend....and I miss him.  A light in many peoples' lives...including mine.

We haven’t seen the Sempe family in several years now, but have great memories of times spent at the lake.  I had the pleasure of playing golf with Mr. Sempe a couple of times.  He was definitely one of the coolest “older guys” I’d ever been around.  I know he will be missed by many.  Our thoughts and prayers are with the family at this difficult time.

Bubba was a man of great integrity with a character to match. My relationship with him was not as long as many but it was one that I treasured. I looked forward to seeing him early in the mornings on the putting green all lit up by that blinding light on the back of his golf cart. I don’t think he ever met a stranger and would be sure to acknowledge anyone around. If you played golf with him you best be prepared to get after it as was not acceptable to play golf in more than three hours, shorter was always the goal. One could barely see the ball let alone the fairway but it was time to go play. On the days William played Bubba, was always anxious waiting on William to arrive so he could tee off. There’s going to be a large void for many of us around the club. 
Rest in peace, sir, you gave everything you had and more.

This man was one of a kind. Never did he ever leave us without stating that if there was anything he could help us with to call. This was not lip service because he meant it with all his heart. He was always there if and when we needed anything. Whether we asked him or not he took it Apon himself to get us whatever he thought we needed. A man who truly loved golf and the club community. It will be strange to not see his car and trailer in the parking lot when I drive up early in the morning. I can't remember the last time he wasn't there waiting to play in 30+ years.

Bubba will truly be missed.  We will miss seeing him out here playing golf early in the morning with his group.  He was a great guy, always said hi and was very friendly.  I'm so sorry for your loss.

Bubba, you'll be missed.   At least I was able to play a round together with you, William, Bill and Steve last week.   I already miss seeing you back your cart up to the practice green and shining those bright lights on the green.  :)  Rest in peace.

I haven't known Bubba as long as a lot of you, only 18 yrs or so. But I assure you in that short time I have come to love and respect that man as a father figure that I missed growing up.  He did not suffer fools easily, or slow play on the golf course...two traits in which we share! If his early morning weekend golf game got rained out- we would talk for hours in the golfshop. Knowing Bubba you know that his work ethic was second to none.  Oh my gosh he just never slowed down. You also know of his razor sharp wit and sense of humor.  Not a finer man I have known. His generosity, His deep love of his family and friends, and his bright spirit are what we at the club know bubba for. Classy man who lived life with grace and humility. How will we replace this one?

Great friend great guy and best neighbor ever.
I remember a few months ago at the Exxon service station.
I was filling up my car and a guy came up to me and wanted money to buy gas for himself.
Well I refused. About that same Bubba came up to fill up with gas. We talked a while and that same guy approached Bubba with the same question . Without hesitation Bubba reached in his pocket, pulled out a wad of cash)big bills) and gave the stranger enough to fill his car.
That’s just who he was, always helping strangers.
Well I tried that same trick. He told me to get lost. This was the only time in all the years of knowing Bubba I Han wished I was a stranger.
We laughed out loud about that. That’s the kind of crazy fun we had with each other.

Bubba has been the best next door neighbor ever . Helped us move furniture upstairs during our 3 floods and a great friend always... Joe and Denise Montgomery
