Yolanda Rodriguez Elizondo would like to let you know that her work here is done. She received a call, a sort of an offer you can’t refuse, for an appointment from which she will not be returning. Her new mission takes her to a wonderful place where she will be socializing, dancing, gardening and reading to her heart’s content.

Mrs. Yolanda Rodriguez Elizondo passed away peacefully of natural causes Saturday, March 5, 2016 comforted by her husband.

Yolanda was born January 20, 1935 in Castaños, Coahuila, Mexico, she was 81 years old. Yolanda was united in marriage to Arsenio Rodriguez on September 8, 1951 in Castaños, Coahuila, Mexico. They were married for 64 blissful years.

A wonderful mother and homemaker, Yolanda was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends. Over the years she wrote recipes in her diary and loved to watch shows about cooking, food and animals. She had an unwavering faith in God.

Yolanda is survived by her husband, Arsenio Rodriguez and their 10 children and spouses, Carolina R. Medellin and her spouse Jose Javier Medellin, Cesar Rodriguez and his spouse Rosa E. Rodriguez, Arturo Rodriguez and his spouse Marbella Rodriguez, Arsenio Rodriguez and his spouse Emma D. Rodriguez, Adelaida R. Sepulveda and her spouse Joseph Steven Sepulveda, Alejandro E. Rodriguez and his spouse Ana M. Rodriguez, Marco A. Rodriguez and his spouse Maria E. Rodriguez, Carlos Rodriguez and his spouse Ana M. Rodriguez, Jorge D. Rodriguez and his spouse Janie A. Rodriguez, Rafael Rodriguez and his spouse Connie Rodriguez, 35 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, sisters Luciana Zamora, Maria Zamora, and her brother Jesus Zamora. Preceded by death, her brothers Efrain Elizondo and Carlos Elizondo.

A funeral service celebrating her life will be held on Thursday, March 10, 2016 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Forest Park Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Houston, Texas 77023.
