Angela Maria Morea (née Fiore), known to her friends as Ann, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 15, 2025. She was born on June 24, 1932, in Queens, New York, to Joseph and Corina Fiore. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Anthony Fiore.
In 1954, Angela married Saverio Morea, and together they made their home and raised their family in Huntsville, Alabama. A devoted educator, she spent many years teaching second grade in the Huntsville City School System at Weatherly Heights Elementary School, where she was known for her kindness and care for her students.
A woman of faith, Angela was a longtime member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. She found great joy singing in the choir alongside her husband, and together they were familiar faces at countless Christmas Midnight Masses. She also generously volunteered with St. Vincent de Paul and the GFWC du Midi Woman’s Club of Huntsville.
Above all, Angela was a devoted mother whose home was filled with warmth and love. Her famous meatballs, biscotti, and cherished holiday brodo were beloved by her family and will forever hold a special place in their hearts, especially her son.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Saverio Morea; her sister, Mara Fiore; her children, Gail, Lorraine, Domenic, and Patricia, and their spouses, Larry, Charles, and Courtney; her grandchildren, Marie (and her husband Taylor) and Peter (and his wife Dina); and her treasured great-grandchildren, Margot, George, Isabel, and Charlie.
Angela will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her husband, children, family, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or St. Vincent de Paul.
